DISCUSFOOD Pleco & Catfish Algae Wafers are specially designed to meet the feeding needs of herbivorous and detritivorous bottom-dwelling fish, including plecos, ancistrus and other loricariids.

Their composition is inspired by aufwuchs , a natural film found on rocks, roots, and various aquarium surfaces. This film provides an important food source for many bottom-dwelling fish and naturally attracts algae, bacteria, microorganisms, and small aquatic organisms.

A diet adapted to bottom-dwelling fish

These sinking pellets allow bottom-dwelling fish easy access to their food, directly on the aquarium substrate. They are particularly suitable for species that feed primarily at the bottom and can be distributed daily in small quantities.

Composition

Bacterial proteins from Corynebacterium glutamicum , algae (10% kelp and 8% spirulina), cereals, vegetables, vegetable protein extracts, insects (10%), MSC certified krill (5%), mineral substances and herb extracts.

Usage tips

Distribute daily in small portions, preferably when the fish are active. Adjust the amount distributed according to the number of fish and observed consumption.

Remove any uneaten food to preserve the quality of the aquarium water.
